Eva Crystal grew up here in Wilsonville and is a proud alumni of Innovative Dance! She graduated Magna Cum Laude and with honors from Loyola Marymount University in 2019 where she received a B.A. in Dance, focusing on Modern and Composition.
Eva has been featured in works by Sidra Bell, Stephanie Zaletel, Rebecca Lemme and Rosalynde LeBlanc in performances at LMU. In collaboration with Halie Donabedian, Eva has created multiple duets that have been invited to be performed at Annual Dean’s Convocations, Annual Spring Student Concerts, ACDA, and MixMatch Dance Festival. They also have been featured as guest teachers and performers in a residency at University of North Carolina Greensboro. She has been awarded scholarships to study with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, BODYTRAFFIC, and Gibney Dance Company. Upon graduating, Eva was awarded an Artistic Merit for Choreography.
Eva moved to Seattle in the Fall of 2019 where she began dancing with PRICEarts (2019-2022), Daniel Costa Dance (2020-2021), and recently performed in works by SLOWBURN Dance and Psychopomp Dance Theater in the Wielding Forms Festival by Coriolis Dance.
In March of 2023 she and Lisa Kwak premiered a new duet at Boost Dance Festival. She has taught at Ballard Academy of Music and Dance, Spotlight Dance Center, and Dance Fremont. She is back in OR as a new member of the Shaun Keylock Company in Portland and is excited to be returning to Innovative, this time as an instructor!
